After a week off, the Pirates come back to the ice without much jump in their step and take a rough loss to the Mayhem. After giving up 5 goals in the first period, the team settled down and started making better plays. But, facing a big hole, 2 overturned goals and a netminder with a lightning quick glove, the Pirates could never mount a comeback and take their first loss of the season.
